# Buddy coaching: peer coaching between colleagues | Coacha

Source: https://www.coacha.co/platform/coach/buddy-coaching

**Colleagues who keep each other going.** Two colleagues pair up, meet on a regular rhythm and coach each other towards their goals. Each leaves with a next action, so people keep growing between reviews.

## Coaching between colleagues.

1. **Pair with a colleague.** Someone motivated, at a similar level, meeting on a set rhythm.
2. **A quick update.** Each goal, and what has moved since last time.
3. **Talk it through.** The guide's own questions keep the conversation useful.
4. **One next action each.** Each buddy leaves with a step, then they switch over.

## Support between reviews.

What a pairing gives each person, in the guide's own terms.

- **Support**: Each person has a colleague in their corner between reviews. Pair people at a similar level of experience.
- **Winning together**: Two people working on their goals side by side, and celebrating progress. Let pairs choose how and where they meet.
- **Holding each other to goals**: Each session ends with a next action the other will ask about. Keep the rhythm steady so it becomes a habit.

## A next step from each session.

Each buddy leaves with an action the other will ask about.

## Who answers and who reads

Shared between the two buddies. Team leaders and HR cannot see it.
