- **Purpose**: Whether the team shares clear goals and is proud of what it delivers. Restate the goal and its value when this slips.
- **Empowerment**: Whether the team has the autonomy, allies and resources to win, and hears each voice. Clear the blockers only a leader can move.
- **Capability**: Whether the team has the energy, time and skills it needs, and recovers from setbacks. Protect the team's time and build the missing skills.
- **Collaboration**: Whether people trust each other, hold each other to account and celebrate wins. Make accountability part of how the team meets.
